Judy Murray’s Great Britain team was drawn against Georgia and South Africa in the Europe/Africa Zone Group I of the Fed Cup 2016 earlier today.

The team, which was announced last week, consists of British Numbers One and Two Johanna Konta and Heather Watson, doubles pairing Anna Smith and Jocelyn Rae, as well as Laura Robson and 16-year-old Katie Swan.

Should Britain go on to win the group, they will face the Group D winners (possibly Belgium or Hungary) to decide which team will be promoted to the World Group for the 2017 tournament.

Judy Murray will be delighted with the draw: neither of the Georgian singles players are ranked inside the top 200, while the highest ranked South African player is Chanel Simmonds at #318.
